Quick & Easy Homemade Baby Food Recipes for 9 month to 12 months
If your baby has entered into 9th month period, then now you understand more of what your baby likes and dislikes as far as baby food is concerned. Try new recipes that are attractive and tasty at the same time healthy for your baby. Your baby at 9th months wants to taste and try new things and now with small teeth will put little efforts to chew before gulping down.
1.Rice and Lentil soup
2 tbsp rice
2 tbsp lentils
1 tbsp of cooked carrots
½ tbsp olive oil
½ liter water
Heat olive oil and sauté rice and lentils on a low flame, till they slightly change color. When cool wash and drain. Now bring water to boil add little salt add rice and lentils along with cooked carrots. Cook on a low flame till rice and lentils are very soft. When cool blend the mixture using a blender and serve warm.
2. Banana oatmeal cubes
2 tbsp plain yogurt
½ small ripe peach
2 tbsp baby oatmeal ground in a food processor
Blend the mashed banana along with yogurt to make a smooth paste. Wash, peel and dice peach into small cubes and coat them with banana paste. Now roll the peach cubes in oatmeal and serve as finer food.
3. Baked Sweet Potato
1 sweet potato
pinch of ground cinnamon
Bake the sweet potato with skin, until tender. Cool and remove the skin. Cut it into small cubes, and sprinkle with pinch of cinnamon.
4. Vegetable nuggets
1 Cup broccoli florets
1 cup bread crumbs
1 ½ cup of cheddar cheese grated
2 1/2 tbsp water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp baking powder ( optional)
Heat the oven to 375 deg F, 190 deg C. Cook the broccoli in water till soft drain and chop. Combine with cheese, bread crumbs and olive oil. Give the mixture nugget shape and place in a baking tray and back for 20-25 minutes. Check with a tooth pick in the centre whether done or not.
5. Tofu nuggets
1 pack of tofu
1 cup cornflakes finely crushed
2 tbsp cheese grated
dash of garlic powder
Egg yolk, beaten well
Preheat the oven to 350 deg F (180 deg C). Cut the tofu into small cubes.Coat each piece of tofu with egg yolk first and then with crushed corn flakes. Spray the baking sheet with oil and the place the prepared tofu cubes on it and bake for around 20 minutes. Make sure to turn the cubes after every five minutes to ensure that they are done on both the sides.
6. Baby Meatballs
1 cup lean minced meat
½ cup mashed potatoes
Pre-heat the oven to 350 deg F, 180 deg C. Mix lean minced meat and mashed potato. Roll into small inch balls and place on a baking tray and cook for 20 minutes drain any excess fat .This baby food can be given to babies aged 10 months and above.
7. Vegetarian Asparagus Dip
3 asparagus cut into small pieces
1/2 ripe avocado pitted
1 tbsp ricotta
Cook the asparagus pieces till they turn soft and, then cool.Place all the ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
8. Cucumber And Dill Dip
1 Cup whole milk yogurt
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Wash, Peel the cucumber and grate cucumber after removing seeds. Drain excess liquid from the grated cucumber; add yogurt and fresh dill .Serve chilled.
9. Tofu and Tarragon Dip
2/3 cup of soft tofu
Pinch of white pepper
1 tsp tarragon
Just blend all ingredients together in a food processor. Slightly heat the dip before serving.
10. Mixed Fruit Dip
1 small banana
½ apple, peeled, deseeded and grated
2 tbsp Orange juice
½ cup yogurt
Mash banana, add grated apple, orange juice and yogurt. Serve chilled.
